GDPR (Data Protection)

New Data Protection Rules

You may have heard about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the United Kingdom Data Protection Act 2018. These new laws force organisations to take extra steps to make sure information about you and your children is kept safely and securely. The new laws also strengthen the rights you have to control your personal information and force organisations who hold your information to tell you more about:

  • Why they collect it
  • What they do with it; and
  • Who they share it with

We also need to tell you about your rights in relation to information we hold about you and your children. Organisations must do this using a privacy notice.

The purpose of this note is to tell you that we have changed our privacy notice on our website. You can read the full privacy notice at Privacy Notice (Pupils June 2018). If you don't have access to the internet, please get in touch with the Academy office either by telephone or in person and we will give you a copy.

If you have any questions about how the new rules affect you or how our Academy uses your information then please contact the Academy office. Our contact telephone number is 01535 210028.
